Daily Login Rewards

Other games are massively adapting this strategy each in its own way, did you guys think about it?
You could switch some (%) rewards value from quests and give it as a bonus for consecutive daily logins. Probably with few milestones, that would give slightly better rewards but reset at the end of the month - to build up a better motivation.

These thing wouldn't hurt economy, if you do a calculation and deduct average daily-reward-by-time amount from average daily-login-by-time. But they motivate people to come to the game and at least read a news or play a match when they otherwise wouldn't.

It just came to my mind when I literally accidently read about new season and new card system and got hyped about it. :mrgreen:
If there were daily login rewards I wouldn't miss such big news for sure!

If you don't login for two days, you lose daily missions. So this is a kind of login reward. ^^

(In fact, I'm glad not to be "forced" to login daily.)

We have briefly considered login rewards during the Beta period, but it was dismissed as too intrusive. Our way of doing that is by adding quests every day, actually 3 times a day :)

Do other CCGs have daily login rewards nowadays?
Your friendly Spellweaver lead, programmer, designer... you name it!

some have. I actually talked with former Spellweaver beta tester who told me he would have still played Spellweaver if there were Daily login rewards. This just keeps players being interested in game.

Forcing to login daily or they miss rewards isn't good.
Just have a set list of rewards for like 28 days so people can collect them at their own pace and get to the final big reward eventually.

If we make rewards as big as these (hypothetically speaking), we would basically have to remove quests altogether.

Yes I know, I should not use DoC, the dead game as a reference.
DoC had 3 quests per day system (better rank You were better the quest rewards but harder the tasks), with average value of ~12k gold per day or 4/5 of 12-card pack. Pretty similar to SW, but quests in DoC did not have as diversified rewards as SW has (In DoC it was minimum of 10000 gold per day to maximum of 15000, while SW can have from 3750 gold up to ?I don't know? ). And DoC had daily rewards which were pretty good, If You logged in every day a week. It was a value of 15k to 30k gold per 6 days (some gold, tourments tickets, gold/exp boosts). On the 7th, last day You were initially getting premium currency, later changed to crafting currency (enough to craft rare card).

Yes Ravi, I used to play DoC back then while developing the foundations of Spellweaver. Only got 2-3 Starter decks, and the game did look too grindy to me despite the tons of rewards from daily logins and achievements.

Then I realized that should have I picked Inferno, I would be SMASHING. There was something like a 4/3 attack creature for 2 mana there or something. But I picked other decks and that kind of made me stop playing.

It is the only card game I have played after I started working on Spellweaver I think :)

Actually the minimum daily quest reward averaged out over multiple days to take rare and epic quests into account is ~9.2k gold in Spellweaver (assuming you never miss a quest spawn and immediately clear out academy quests). The actual average is probably ~18k+.

Considering that, the new business model is absolutely insane. You can keep up by just casually completing quests, not to mention catch up on cards as a f2p player with minimal effort.

There is nothing like minimum average. Average is just average.

TBH, I think Spellweaver should be a little more p2w, for example, Monthly releases should be only obtainable with crystals.

4/3/4 for 3 mana Ivko, best common in the game. 2/1/2 was regualar common. First stat is attack, next is retaliation (combat damage dealt when creature is attacked, was not dealt if creature would be killed by an attacker), third is HP (no HP regen in this game, like Hearthstone)

It was easy to block it tho.
