This list is pretty light on spells so not falling behind early was very important. Ka'ainu is an incredible hero for trials with pretty much any 3 cost creature because 4 HP creatures can be very hard to handle in general. The Frost Elementals did a surprising amount of work in combination with Flashfreeze and Power Discharge or just the Elf Scout and weren't half bad just as 2/4s when hero powered out.
Overall the games were all about patience and resource management. In most games I bided my time, not attacking altogether, if the trades I would've gotten wouldn't have been efficient enough. Instead I waited and played it safe until I got that one card (e.g. Outbrake or Power Discharge) that allowed me to swing the board in my favour.
The one Unicorn really saved my ass in a couple of games, removing key Enslaves or in the last game a Mantle of Winds from a triple shielded Spectral Aurite which allowed me to swing for leathal with my Sunchaser through a huge board of 7 or 8 creatures on both sides.

I didn't play Forcefield in all but 2 games. Most of the time the tempo loss is just to huge, but in those two games it rendered the enemy's goblins (in the first) or golem spam (in the second of those games) practically useless and pretty much singlehandedly won me those games.
