Well, my opinion is opposite to the OP - for me actually blue is very interesting color, providing with lot of possibilities, and definitely it is not underpowered.

I was climbing the ladder with mono-black Demons, but recently I had a lot of fun with my UR Burn deck. Here is the decklist, just with cards that I currently possess:

Creatures (13)
3 x Contraptionist
4 x Airship Explorer
4 x Library Guards
2 x Djinn of Wishes

Spells (12)
1 x Electrostatic Pillar (have just one, 2 or 3 is what I need)
4 x Fireball
3 x Fireblast
4 x Dragonfire

Artifacts (11)
3 x Obelisk of Unity
4 x Lamp of Zaffir
4 x Thaumic Reflector

Shrines (24)
13 x Wisdom Shrines
7 x Rage Shrines
4 x The Grand Institute

The main plan is to burn the opponent to death with Dragonfire, copied with Thaumic Reflectror. There is also a backup plan to attack with Lamp of Zaffir, which is immuned to most of the removal and has quite a good speed, making it unblockable most of the times.

I would like to suggest you to try this build and I promise you - it will be fun Of course, sometimes you will lose to swarming decks, sometimes you just cannot find your combo pieces in time, but, man, how funny it is to deal 20 damage in one turn

This deck idea I stole from someone I've played against, sorry can't remember the name.

This is the deck I play the most. It packs a lot of removal, including board wipes, some early blockers and big finishers. It can also swarm the opponent with zombies and use them to fuel Necromantic Cult and Stronghold Metropolis. Vampirism, Succubus and Lord Karthas are the best finishers. Flesh Sculptor is the new toy under testing but I have yet to get any value from it. I've been winning most of my PvP matches against both aggro and control, but sometimes I manage to lose to the Corruption AI, quite embarrassing, so it probably needs a lot of tweaking. The only card I don't have yet and I'd like to include at this point is the 3rd (and maybe also the 4th) Succubus, this girl is awesome. I tried Nefaros and advanced Despina as hero, but they did not work that well. I'd like to hear opinions about it and how to improve it.

Card choices:

4 x Plague Vermin - important against Goblins and Elves

4 x Mesmerizing Spirit - cheap source of card advantage. There is no particular match-up, where these are shining, but I like them a lot.

4 x Bloodwitch Harpy - our MVP. Level 1 in our deck are only the rats and the zombie tokens from Restless Tomb and Haunted Cemetery. Even when we have to sacrifice these, they are providing us with sometimes important mana acceleration. Our opponents are also happy with the witch, as they benefit from this acceleration too, right?

3 x Bedeviled Fiend - hits hard, has a reasonable speed - overall good creature.

3 x Dread Knight - the second most valuable card - just can't imagine Corruption Deck without this monster. Smashes for tons of damage and invalidates their best front line creature. And he is 4 mana, level 2, 6/6 creature. OP for me.

4 x Succubus - 8 life swing is a lot! And combined with Occultism after you attacked and killed one of their creatures is just unfair.

4 x Noxious Fumes, 4 x Consume Spirit and 3 x Infernal Tribute - our removal suite. I tried with less, but then even added Plague Vermin.

3 x Restless Tomb - zombies are slow, but against heavy removal decks, Lightning Storm decks, in the mirror match are invaluable.

Shrines:

4 x Sanctum of the Void - as it is the maximum allowed number.

2 x Haunted Cemetery - they were 4 in the beginning of testing, but I reduced their number, as the card draw from regular Corruption Shrines proved to be more important.

Notable omissions - the mythics:

Dark Portal - tried it, and soon I realized, that most of the times I am cycling it. Against a slow deck, second turn Dark Portal is game, but most of the games I play (2/3) are against AI and after the first Fireblast I am already half-dead...

Bezarok, Hell's Gatekeeper - expensive, "win more" card. He is only good against Lightning Storm decks and even then I prefer to draw Restless Tomb instead of him.

The deck is strong against multiple types of opposing strategies. Last Saturday I played it, trying to reach top-10 within a day. Almost succeeded and my record was 62-8 (48-2 vs. AI and 16-6 vs. human opponents). Try it

What hast thou in mind for I explained what I beheld while playing with this marvelous card?

You already have level curved demons to fetch for, after that you just keep replaying succubus. You can also fetch for the harpy, which can take control over the board against certain decks. If you find the life gain not enough, just add some corruption Words in there.

My bounce deck, works like a charm. Bounce those unicorns, mesmerz and succubs all day long. Most games youl finish over 30 hp. Also hasted treants are no joke.
