For our 8th contest we have a mill theme.

Winner will get 10k gold.

Rules 1.0:

  • 1) One entry per contestant, in a separate reply to this thread.
  • 2a) You submit in text format, but links to images are encouraged. See format below.
  • 2b) Card Creator if you want to make an image.
  • 2c) Discussion and changing ones submitted entry is permited!
  • 3a) You can vote for multiple entry when the strawpoll is posted.
  • 3b) You dont even have to particpate to vote.
  • 4a) This will end sunday at noon GMT +1.
  • 4b) Sorry for the confusion, I messed up
  • 4b) after the end we will have a voting phase, where also vote on next topic.
  • 5) Rules discussion is fine, even encouraged. Let's hammer out the rules.
  • All discussion should be separate thread

  • Destroy an artifact.
  • Deal 1 damage to all creatures.
  • Deal 2 damage to a creature with a target emblem.

My Proposal
Baron Samedi - 3CC

Legendary Creature
Zombie - Loa
? ATK / ? HP >>

Baron Samedi ATK and HP are equals to the number of creatures in your graveyard.

M(1) : Put the top card of your deck into your graveyard. If it's a zombie, target player decay X cards where X is equal to the HP of the zombie.

"Dreadful Appearance": 1 mana CX spell, E(0), curse:
"Whenever a creature enters a graveyard, +E(1).

Zzz: A creature you control deals combat damage to heroes in the form of decaying cards until end of turn.

M(2): Ready and remove all energy from Dreadful Appearance. It becomes a 2 SP Lifebound Demon creature with that much ATK and HP until end of turn. It deals combat damage to heroes in the form of decaying cards."

Note that when the creature decays the enemy deck in combat, those decayed cards count towards the energy gain in the first line of the text.

Transform power should probably only usable on your turn, but I'd have to redo all my manual edits in paint :D
If there is enough cheap spell hate in the game though, it might be fine like this.

If it is too weak, either:
-Give the transformed creature unstoppable as well.
-Let the first power target enemy creatures. (probably insanely OP: shuts down your opponent's face damage)

Kind of unfortunate that Decay is such a Corruption-based mechanic. We don't really have any precedence for how it might work in colors other than Corruption and maybe some Wisdom.

Look at top 10 cards of opponents deck. Choose 5 cards and put them into the graveyard and the rest shuffled on top of the deck.
Distribute X weakness emblems among enemy creatures, where X is the highest number of chosen cards with the same name.

Ancient. When Mill enters the field, draw a card. Every time a non creature is milled in your grave, instead put it on the bottom of your deck and add 1 energy to it. If Decay is destroyed, mill X cards from your deck to your grave, X equal to it's energy. If it's energy ever becomes higher than the amount of cards in your deck, you lose the game

+E(1) every time a non-summoned creature dies.
At the start of each players turn that player Decays a number of cards equal to Funeral Dirges energy.
At the end of your turn, if there are no creatures in play, destroy Funeral Dirge.

A creature with Curse of Decay attached to it gets +1/+1 and deals damage to heroes in the form of decaying cards.
When this creature dies, return Curse of Decay to your hand.

Spell - Curse
Whenever You play a Spirit creature, enemy hero decays 3 cards.
When Symptoms of Madness enters the field, raw a card
At the end of turn Sacrifice Symptoms of Madness, unless You pay 1 Mana.
Play Boost - Pay 4 Mana. Remove all cards from enemy hero graveyard and gain 2 life for each card type removed that way.
