Should flyers be allowed on the front line?

Postby Pizdabol » Thu Jun 21, 2018 12:09 pm

Title says it all. Not that big of a deal, just wanted to see how the community feels about it. Right now the only reason you'd want to do that is to prevent/soak up AoE. Maybe also get the Tactician bonus with flying soldiers, if any, some with Pegasus under I guess? Anyone think of anything else?

PS. Also, should they be treated as swift for purposes of attacking after switching lanes. It sucks that you can't create two polls in a thread :(

It was removed initially, after some playtesting showed that players get confused with it. I remember being asked the question "Why can I move this creature to the front line, if this is never beneficial?".

We can in theory allow this, and add a confirmation message that explains the situation and asks whether you are sure, much like the "play 2nd legendary" and "gain mana on the first turn" messages.

I miss the option "I don't care about." :D
But IF you can switch a flying creature between front line and support line, imho it shouldn't be able to attack unless it's swift. It takes time to land and to start into air, so the creature shouldn't be able to start and attack immediately.
