Polish - Discussion Thread

Well, right now there's not a lot to discuss, but once we pick a coordinator and start translating the game terms, I bet there will be.

Please keep the communication in English so I can look at this topic once in a while, and see if I can help. Any questions for me not concerning the work organization should also go here.

Ok, so I am in charge here from I have read. I checked you available hours, it would be great if we could meet on TS3 server (can provide it) to discuss first matter and together we could end check everything. I think before you reply I will have everything translate and I could use your help with correcting some stuff to make it sound better

Maybe Spellweaver team can provide some TS3 for translators to make our communication easier, TS3 I can provide isn't mine and there can be some problems with getting room for us.

"ń" and "ę" are missing in excel file from Polish alphabet, so don't be surprised. I put them there by copy paste.

We don't have any account (or any experience for that matter) in TS3.

But seeing that the time available to each of your team members is not much, I think it will be very hard to gather everyone for a real-time discussion. I think it's a better idea to keep the discussion here in the forums.

Let's see what others say but atm. translation is completed so all we need to do is just to check and correct it as a group.

Thursday around 8-9(PL time) pm is the best time for me.

I don't think I can make time before the weekend. Saturday evening could work. But we could also just exchange our thoughts about the translations by posting here.

Some remarks to current translation:

1st part:
Enter the field - I think it could be "Wchodzą na pole bitwy" (like in Jungle Deathtrap ability description). But it could depend on the situation tho.
Leave the field - same story like in point above - in my opinion there should be "Opuszczają stół"
Once per turn - ę missing on the end of phrase

2nd part: Aspects
Dominion - For me "Władza" or "Dominacja" fits better, cause of this aspect for me represents greed and power.

3rd part: Card Types
(Artifact)Creature - I have feeling that "(Artefaktowe)Stworzenie" fits better than "Stwór"
Shrine - "Kapliczka" for me just sounds better

4th part: Subtypes Spells
no remarks here

5th part: Subtypes Creatures
also no remarks here

6th part: Subtypes Artifacts
Implant - we also have word "Implant" in Polish vocabulary. Shouldnt be better?

7th part: Keywords
Attach - "Dołącz" sounds better for me
Block - it could be "Zablokuj" but it could be albo "Blok" depends on context.
Decay - what about milling cards into graveyard? The we cant translate it straightforwardly. I dont have idea how change it now(im a lil bit tired now, I'll edit my post tomorrow)
Exhaust - maybe "Wycieńcz"?
Freeze - maybe "Zamróź"?
Lifebound - It sounds weird for me as it is now, but now i dont have better solution for that (I'll think about it tomorrow)
Pack - maybe "Pakiet"?
Summon - maybe 'Przyzwij'?
Unbind - im not sure, but maybe "Odłącz"
Emblems - maybe 'Licznik'? but for example Shield Emblem it would sound weird.

What do you think guys? I'll check it again tomorrow, maybe I find more phrases

So maybe we will catch at the weekend. Thursday is my Japanese class so I won't be . Everything you can put here or just in remark column in excel. Some stuff have really strange names compared to other CTG so we will just have to think about them.

I also think that some issues need to be consulted by whole team. I'll try to find time on Saturday then.
